Foraged Fellas launch first supper club in collaboration with Jay Halford

James Wilson and Jamie Threlfall launch Foraged Fellas with a secret supper club collaborating with Jay Halford at NR Social.



Chef James Wilson and Front of House expert Jamie Threlfall have announced the launch of their new dining concept Foraged Fellas. The duo will kickstart their new venture with a secret supper club in collaboration with Jay Halford at NR Social in heart of Cheltenham on Monday 1 July at 7pm.


The intimate collaboration dinner will host only 28 guests and consist of collaborated dishes with foraged influences from James and Jay with a 6-course tasting menu plus drinks showcasing the best locally sourced ingredients from around the city and the country.


Foraged Fellas is the brainchild of Chef James Wilson and Front of House expert Jamie Threlfall who together have accumulated experience in kitchens and venues in the UK and internationally.  


Chef James Wilson previously worked under Gary Rhodes at The Greenhouse before working in some of the best kitchens across the world including The Star Inn, Harome, The Torridan, Scotland, and Blanket Bay, New Zealand. After a chance meeting with foraging expert Chris Bellowild, James has brought his foraging knowledge to the table and combined with his technical skills, brings menus that are wild seasonal, and local. 


Front of House expert Jamie Threlfall has a diverse career working in venues throughout the UK and Australia including Tom’s Kitchen, London, Hare & Hounds, Tetbury, Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey, Adina Vibe, Darwin, Ellenborough Park, Cheltenham, Samling, Windermere, and Michelin Starred Forest Side, Grasmere. Jamie has previously worked with James at a variety of events, and their love of foraged ingredients began a discussion to create Foraged Fellas.


Jamie said:


"James and I have worked on many projects together, and have always had this mutual understanding of how exciting foraging can be.  We really wanted to bring this concept from the outdoors to the table. James is a fantastic chef and his menus will really push the boundaries, and where I think Foraged Fellas stands out from the rest, is this is going to go beyond just dining, but hopefully be educational and inspirational. We definitely want you to come away with full bellies and memories, but also understanding foraging more as we explain every course in detail. We want diners to fully understand where their dish is coming from. - and hopefully, it will inspire people to do get involved in foraging as well"


The event will start at 7pm for arrival foraged cocktail and canapés, 7:30pm the evening will begin at the gorgeous and unique NR Social which is situated in the heart of Cheltenham with great parking at the nearby St. James car park.

Tickets are priced at £75 and will include arrival cocktail and canapés a 6-course menu plus matching foraged concoctions.
