The luxurious and contemporary Iron Stag in Hoxton is to become an entertainment and events venue, offering weekly comedy and live music open to the public, and a dining destination holding up to 70 people for events, parties and meetings.
“We originally opened Iron Stag as a whisky-led bar, but sadly local licensing restrictions have led to a re-think on the best future use,” says Adam Handling, owner of the Adam Handling Group which operates Iron Stag. “We’re really excited to be offering a new concept for the Group – a beautiful and flexible venue that can accommodate so many different public and private hire options.”
As a flexible space, the venue offers exceptional facilities with drinks and food created by Adam Handling’s bar and kitchen teams. Iron Stag will also be available to hire as a live music venue, complete with a dedicated stage and sound system.
Iron Stag is now also home to the Hoxton Comedy Club, bringing big laughs to your Tuesday nights.
The weekly crowd-funded comedy night takes place every Tuesday from 8pm and is hosted by the immensely talented Jay Handley. A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jay, aka ‘’White Jesus’, has performed at legendary comedy venues including The Comedy Store, The Stands, Jongleurs and many more.
Each week, Jay will be bringing a new line-up of the UK’s funniest men and women who are guaranteed to leave you in stitches. There’ll be sets from some of London’s most talked about up-and-coming amateur comedians as well as some familiar faces from some of the UK’s top TV comedy shows.
Some of the exceptional cocktails at Iron Stag will continue to be on the cocktail menu available for diners in The Frog Hoxton restaurant as well as Bean & Wheat, to accompany its new bistro menu.
