No need for a 10 hour flight.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans is on the bucket list for many but with the reality of a 10-hour flight between London and the real thing for most, let’s be honest, it’s probably not going to happen this year!
So, to combat those carnival cravings, the Bayou Bar team have decided to offer an alternative. Bringing the party to Tooting and creating a little taste of New Orleans right here with a delicious and authentic Crawfish Boil.
For just £27.50 on Sunday 29th March guests can enjoy a three-course deep south inspired Sunday feast. So forget your classic Sunday lunch and try something a little bit different!
Kicking off with a delicious gumbo, paired with corn bread and a greet pepper salsa, this will be followed with the main event; locally caught sustainable crayfish with Andouille sausage, corn on the cob and broth cooked potatoes. Then to round it off, if you can squeeze any more in, the team will be serving up freshly friend beignets with powdered sugar!
Need more to tempt you? As a little extra why not add a trio of chargrilled Oysters to your meal to make the celebration just that bit more indulgent and live music throughout the day.
With a year-round focus on New Orleans cocktails and food the Bayou Bar team are the experts. Having visited New Orleans on multiple fact-finding missions they pride themselves on offering the true ‘dive bar’ feel with a focus on delicious and authentic New Orleans cocktails and food.
Crawfish Boils are one of New Orleans most celebrated foodie traditions and while we might not be able to offer the Louisiana weather, we can definitely make up for it with piles of freshly cooked crawfish, a carefully selected menu of drinks to wash them down and the all-important carnival vibes.
Book in advance before you get the FOMO.
Bayou Bars Crawfish Boils will be taking place on Sunday 29th March, between 12-9pm
