Masterchef Champion Ping Coombes Brings the Taste of Malaysia to Bournemouth

Ping Coombes brings her Malaysian Supper Club to Bournemouth on 26 February.

Ping Coombes, MasterChef Champion 2014, is bringing her Makan Club - Malaysian Supper Club to Tonic Social, Bournemouth 26th February 2020. Makan means eat in Malaysia.

Ping’s love of Malaysian food and flavours is shared at these fun and informal evenings where guests enjoy a 4-course surprise menu consisting of a variety of flavours, textures, classic and modern dishes.  What will be served is a secret known only to Ping until the evening commences as guests are taken on a taste tour of her interpretation of the finest Malaysian food using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. In true Supper Club style, guests sit together on shared tables.

Since being crowned Champion, Ping has been appointed Malaysia Kitchen Ambassador, has her own Ping Pan Asia Restaurant at Selfridges and is writing her second book following the success of her first, Malaysia. Private cookery classes and Supper Club have brought Malaysian food to her many followers and Ping is delighted to extend this to Bournemouth,

“Makan Club has been so popular in my home town of Bath and I had been looking at a number of locations to bring Makan Club to more people in the South West prior to selecting Bournemouth.

The team at the Hilton and Tonic Social are fellow food lovers and we are looking forward to bringing the warmth of Malaysia to town in February and March 2020.”

Tickets are £45 per person.
