Recipe: Whitepudding Bao Buns

Whitepudding Bao Buns, from the Clonakilty Black and White Cookbook

Full of vibrant recipes, it is the brand's first cookbook and is a celebration of everything which is great about cooking with Ireland's favourite black and white pudding. It shines a light on the way home cooks and chefs are experimenting in their kitchen and features everything from new breakfast and brunch ideas to party snacks and quick mid-week meals.


Makes 6.

Cook Time: 8-10 Minutes


- 16 pack of Bao Buns

- 280g Clonakilty Whitepudding, sliced thinly - Lettuce leaves

- 1 cucumber thinly sliced

- 1 spring onion, finely chopped

- 1 red chilli, finely chopped

- fresh coriander

- Hoi Sin sauce

- Oil for frying


Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the white pudding.

Cook until golden on both sides.

Heat the Bao Buns according to packet instructions.

Once both are ready, fill each bun with lettuce, cucumber, and 3 or 4 slices of white pudding before garnishing with spring onion, chilli and coriander.
