A Toast to Friendship
Illustrator and feminist activist Venus Libido and London’s most experiential wine bar Vagabond Wines launch Rosé Before Brosé, a limited edition wine celebrating friendship and platonic love.
A seductively crisp Provence rosé, Rosé Before Brosé is an ode to the womxn who stick together; a middle finger to the romance narrative forced upon us, and a love letter to the ones who will save us in the end.
With the need for a flower-wielding man in our lives now officially cancelled, Venus went to Vagabond in a purposeful bid to dismantle the heteronormative hype brought by Valentine’s Day. The label, illustrated by Venus in her signature no-f*cks-given style, shows an unapologetic womxn strengthened by the wine as she raises a glass; grape vines surround her, propping her up as her friends do.
Rosé Before Brosé is the ultimate way to show the womxn around us – be they friends, family, colleagues or that girl that said she loved your dress in the bar toilets that time – that we see them, we love them, and through all the sh*t, we’ve got their backs.
