RumFest and London Rum Week return for a week of one-off events and tastings in October

Taking place on 16th October 2021, RumFest Live is back bigger than ever with a new element to this year’s event, the Spiced Rum Show on 17th October 2021. RumFest will mark the finale of the extremely popular London Rum Week, all curated by rum-industry titan Ian Burrell.

From 11th-17th October, London Rum Week will feature exciting consumer events and tastings at partner venues around London for the duration of the week. As with previous years, the week will see some of the capital’s very best bars and restaurants putting on limited-edition menus, serving one-off cocktails, and hosting supper clubs and pop-up consumer events for those looking to build on their passion for rum. Find out more at londonrumweek.com.

The jewel in the crown of London Rum Week, RumFest will take place on 16th October at ILEC Conference Centre in Earl’s Court. Sessions will last from 12-4pm and 5-9pm and will feature tastings, exhibitions, seminars and demonstrations from both new and established distillers and blenders from the world of rum. Guests will also enjoy Carnival Time, with live music and dancing, and exciting food traders will complete the line-up, offering delicious snacks and meals as well as food and rum pairing masterclasses.

Tickets are priced at £30 and include a tasting glass, a show brochure, access to free masterclasses and all samples at the show aside from Golden Tot rums. Golden Tot tokens, which are for rums that have an RRP of £80 and over, are priced at £5 each and will be available to buy in advance, allowing guests to sample some of the world’s best rums.

The week will culminate with The Spiced Rum Show on 17th October at Night Tales in Hackney, shining a light on the new breed of spiced expressions from across the rum-making world. Find out more at rumfest.co.uk.

RumFest has been a staple of the drinks-industry calendar since its inception in 2007, culminating in more than 3,000 visitors across its trade and consumer events in 2019. The programme of events will continue to be presided over by the event’s creator, rum expert and global rum ambassador Ian Burrell, who can count on decades of experience in spirits education and events, as well as hands-on distilling and blending for some of the world’s best-loved rums.
