2. SHARE YOUR LOVE OF WINE

Unwined - The Unwined Experience Kit

Rekindle your love for each other (and grapes) with this wine tasting from Unwined. We tried their Feb ‘New Beginnings’ Unwined Experience on offer throughout Feb. The seasonally curated boxes feature different half bottles of wine each accompanied with a hearty piece of artisan cheese to pair with plus crackers and quince thrown in too. To help you along you’ll receive tasting guides and online videos from founders and vino experts Laura Aitken and Kiki Evans.

Our favourite of the four was an Olivier Coste Rare Carnignan Blanc. The wine is a natural mutation of a red grape Carnignan Noir produced by rare variety enthusiast Olivier Coste. You’ll only find this grape in some 250 hectares of Langedoc. Plus, independent craft Pilton Cider ‘The Road Trip’ accompanied by Berthe smoked sardines for an amuse bouche into our evening was a hit. We thought this tasting was well worth the price and would definitely pep up a night in for two.

5. SAY 'I LOVE YOU' WITH THE PARSONS NOSE - EDITOR’S PICK

Look away veggies, but is there anything more decadent than a shared meal of top-notch beef? Independent family-run butchers The Parsons Nose have created a heart-topped Valentine’s Beef Wellington for two for lovers wanting to celebrate at home. We loved how easy this was to make. Our box arrived swiftly and inside the generous piece of beef was coated in pastry ready to be popped in the oven (just have an egg on hand to glaze the pastry). 40 minutes later we had an absolutely delicious meal for two, ready to serve, with minimal effort made on our part. This even came with a ready-made red wine gravy. This was a meal so sublime, we woke up the next day still dreaming of it.

If the way to your man or woman’s heart is the USA’s fave meal, say I love you with a burger. The Parson’s Nose Ultimate Burger Kit features two British prime aged beef patties, demi-brioche buns from an artisan bakery, smoked streaky bacon, Red Leicester cheese and various sauces and seasonings!
