Give to guests, drizzle over desserts, customise your coffee or just sip straight after dinner, these festive liqueurs bring the perfect serving of Christmas spirit.

Bellamie

This Christmas, add a touch of French elegance to your celebrations with Bellamie, the award-winning cherry apéritif that’s as beautiful as it is delicious. With its deep ruby colour and warming spiced cherry flavour, Bellamie is a beautiful winter alternative to bitter citrus summer spirits. It’s the perfect fit for toasting the season with friends with a signature Bellamie Spritz, and makes a glamorous gift.

RRP: £34.00 for 70cl

Available here, and from independent retailers

Christmas Spirit Rum Liqueur

A warming, seasonal liqueur from English Spirit. Dubbed Christmas Spirit, the distillery used one of its own aged rums as a base which spent a short stint in oak and hickory wood, then added the festive flavours of orange, raisin, star anise, vanilla pod and cinnamon stick before bottling. Over ice or splashed in warm apple juice, this'll be like a Christmas pudding in a glass

RRP: £26.00 for 50cl

The UK’s first farm-to-table cream liqueur, Five Farms is crafted using fresh cream sourced exclusively from five family-owned farms along the scenic Cork coastline, blended with exceptional local Irish whiskey at a concentration ten times greater than any mainstream brand or supermarket version.

RRP: £29.49 for 70cl

Available Master of Malt

Just in time for Christmas, All Things Butter - the disruptive British butter brand founded by Notting Hill-based chef Thomas Straker - has joined forces with Portobello Road Distillery to create Butter Gin, a small-batch collaboration blending indulgence with heritage.

Launching right as the martini returns to the centre of cocktail culture, this collaboration delivers a naturally silky, butter fat washed, re-distilled base built for an ice-cold martini. It begins first with Portobello Road 171 London Dry Gin, which is re-distilled using All Things Butter. The butter is twice churned for extra creaminess, resulting in a distinctly velvety gin. The final product is a deliciously smooth and rich gin, with a touch of sweetness, perfect for a gin martini.

RRP: £39.00 for 70cl

Available from Ocado and here

Baileys X Terry’s Chocolate Orange

Bailey’s has smashed it with this Christmas collaboration. The Bailey’s X Terry’s Chocolate Orange limited edition liqueur is Christmas in a glass. After one sip, it’s hard to think of a combo that could work better than their classic Irish cream combined with Terry’s familiar seasonal orange aromas. We're not sure how Bailey’s will top this one next year but you’ll find us sipping this by the fire right up to the big day.

RRP: £11.00 for 50cl

Cotswolds Cream Liqueur

A blend of their new make single malt spirit with fresh cream, this classic liqueur is wonderfully rich and silky with notes of vanilla and butterscotch.

Black Forest Gateau Liqueur

Edinburgh Gin has created a decadent twist on a dessert classic This liqueur blends award-winning Edinburgh Classic Gin with rich, dark berries to create a sweet, tangy profile that’s perfect for seasonal sipping. At 20% ABV, it’s ideal for moderation-minded partygoers who still want a treat.

RRP: £16.50 for 50cl

Shanky's Whip

Blended and bottled in County Cavan, Ireland, the liqueur blends aged Irish whiskey with rich natural flavours of vanilla and caramel. With an ABV of 33%, the result is a deeply dark and silky-smooth drink, bursting with notes of butterscotch and rounded off with a warm spiced whiskey finish.

The liqueur is vegan, gluten and nut free, making it the perfect tipple for a party; but what you really need to know is that they've released a limited-edition ceramic gold 70cl bottle, sculpted in the shape of a golden ostrich head trophy. This is paying homage to the fantastical story of the beverage’s namesake, Shanky the rebellious Irish jockey, who defied tradition by riding an ostrich to victory in a race.

RRP: £39.99 for the limited edition 70cl bottle; £25.75 for the standard bottle
