Bit too hot innit? We can't promise to cool you down with any of the below but we do suggest you make the pilgrimage across London for these - our hottest restaurant openings for July 2025 are compiled by (hot), and hungry hacks Jo Aspin and Paloma Lacy.

Little Fires

You can never have too many Mexican bars in our opinion. Make way for this new one arriving in East London’s Bethnal Green. It’s a debut project from collective Christian Pecoraro, Florian Schulze, and Horacio Sainz. Cocktails have been created in collaboration with the team behind Oaxaca’s acclaimed Sabina Sabe (World’s 50 Best Bars) so we’re expecting something top notch innovations, and the bar will champion rare and artisanal mezcals. Chef Rodolfo Castellanos (winner of Top Chef Mexico and chef-owner of Origen Oaxaca) will be plating up Oaxacan-inspired snacks and small plates - tostadas, elotes and ceviche. Hell to the yeah!

Little Fires opens this July, date TBC

125 Bethnal Green Road, London, E2 7DJ

Lupa

Fancy dining like a Roman, without touching down in Italy? North London eatery, Lupa, is coming with a menu set to give diners the authentic experience from the Italian capital. Foodies interested in regional cuisine will be treated to antipasti, such as pizza bianca and cured meats. Following accepted Italian dining rules - next up are first course options of paccheri a la Carbonara and other delicious and popular pasta options.  The meat course looks set to delight with porchetta the star of the dining table. If the menu isn't tempting enough, you might spot co-owner, local, and actor, Theo James while there. What's not to like? I can't see the restaurant will have a problem filling tables.

Shanghai Me

Escape the heat at this new rooftop restaurant coming to the 28th floor of Hilton Park Lane. Replacing Galvin at Windows, Shanghai Me is a Pan-Asian concept ‘inspired by modern oriental cuisine’ with current sites in Doha and Dubai. Dine sky high on everything from robata grill to creative dim sum. Dishes sound decadent with Yellowtail Carpaccio with Black Truffle and Cantonese Style Roast Duck with Foie Gras & Caviar both catching our eye.

Opens 21 July

London Hilton, 22 Park Ln, London W1K 1BE

Noreen

St Christopher's Place is a safe bet of a restaurant location. Nestled behind Oxford Street, it provides the perfect pitstop for a post-shopping lunch. A safe pair of hands, with a presence from the high-quality chain restaurants, a new standalone restaurant is on its way. Noreen brings Middle Eastern flavours, with ex-Harrod's head chef, Medhi Hani , at the helm. What's on the menu? Flatbreads, grilled meats and slow-cooked dishes. Cocktail wizard, Ryan Chetiyawardana, of Mr Lyan Studio fame, has sprinkled his magic over a cracking list of cocktails and mocktails. Unsurprisingly, Arak features in the drinks list, with other Middle Eastern influences present - hibiscus, za’atar, black lime and tahini.

Harry's

Harry's Kings Cross opened with star-studded launch party at the beginning of the month. Serving up a signature blend of timeless Italian charm and contemporary elegance, this restaurant marks the latest addition to the Harry's family, which includes Knightsbridge, Marylebone, and Victoria. Known for 1950s Italian glamour, with a modern twist. The 174-seater Kings Cross restaurant is dressed in rich brown and deep green hues, complemented by whisky-toned leather to create a warm and inviting space. It offers an  all-day menu, ideal for a leisurely breakfast, a lively lunch with friends, or a romantic candlelit dinner. The 94-seat terrace, the largest in the Harry’s collection, is a great spot for sundowner aperitifs or weekend brunch. Think solid Mediterranean dishes and wickedly delicious cocktails.
