One Night Only Pommery Champagne Experience

Sycamore at Middle Eight will host a ticketed Maison Pommery champagne tasting on the evening of 8th April 2026 in Covent Garden, giving Londoners a spring evening built around three pours from the house, complimentary canapés and a rare chance to taste Pommery’s prestige cuvée, Cuvée Louise 2006. Taking place from 6pm to 8pm at the restaurant on Great Queen Street, the event arrives as London shifts into a more social spring rhythm, giving what’s-on pages a timely reason to spotlight something more refined and distinctive than the usual drinks-led evening.

Set within Sycamore, Middle Eight’s Italian restaurant, the tasting will begin with a welcome glass of Pommery Louis Sparkling England on arrival, before guests are seated for a guided presentation and tasting. Three champagnes will be poured over the course of the evening: Pommery Brut Royal NV, Pommery 1874 Apanage Blanc de Blancs NV, newly launched to the UK market, and Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006 Prestige. A complimentary selection of four canapés will be served alongside. 

The evening is positioned less as a formal masterclass and more as an elegant, well-paced social tasting in the heart of central London. That makes it especially relevant now: as the city’s spring calendar fills with terrace reopenings and familiar seasonal events, this offers something with a stronger sense of occasion; polished and rooted in both discovery and atmosphere.

The inclusion of Pommery 1874 Apanage Blanc de Blancs NV gives the evening an added sense of currency, while the chance to taste Cuvée Louise 2006 brings weight and rarity to the experience. Together, they make this feel less like a standard tasting and more like a one-off event for Londoners looking for something properly special midweek. 

As an added detail, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition gift box of Cuvée Louise vintage champagne on the night, giving the event an extra layer of exclusivity.
