Pantalones Tequila X Cosy Club

I dodged one the many downpours this week to dry off at the Cosy Club Oxford and sip my way through some of the Pantalones summer cocktails in an attempt to bring back the last rays of summer.

The Cosy Club team have created a summer drinks menu offering five different Margarita cocktails each made with Pantalone’s Reposado tequila.

Adding to the myriad of celebs with their own drinks brands, American Actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves have laid claim to Pantalone’s Tequila.

The 100% Blue Weber Agave, premium organic tequila forms the basis of these margarita specials which can be found at Cosy Club Oxford running until the end of September, but we’re told you’ll still be able to find some Pantalones Tequila on the back bar year-round too.

Pantalones spicy Margarita at Cosy Club Oxford

We got stuck to some fruity flavoured serves – starting with Kiwi Kickback Margarita made with Pantalones Organic Reposado Tequila, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, fresh kiwi fruit, agave, and Spicy Coconut Pineapple Margarita made with Pantalones Organic Reposado Tequila, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, fresh pineapple, coconut, Tajín, Scrappy’s Five Bitters. These were the real deal. Both tasting fresh and sweet with a healthy measure of tequila, well blended in.   

Working backwards I next tried the classic Picante (Spicy Margarita) made with Pantalones Organic Reposado Tequila, fresh lime juice, coriander, chilli and agave. I love a spicy Marg and right now I think Picante margarita is arguably my cocktail of choice at any occasion so it was no surprise this was my favourite from the menu.

Watching the rain trickle down the windows of the high street, high up from the first floor ‘club’ we did indeed feel the cosy vibes created from the warm interiors, soft lighting and chipper staff, and the tequila no doubt helped.

We accompanied our tequila with some cosy food. An Aubrey Allen grass-fed British beef flat iron steak, served with shallot and mustard butter, gem salad, Caesar dressing and fries, and Buttermilk chicken burger with garam masala mayo, jalapeño and cheddar slaw.

The Pantalones cocktails are £12.95 each on offer until end of September (2025).
