Review: Borough Broth Organic Bone Broth Cubes

There’s something about having a really good bone broth in the fridge or freezer that just makes you feel like you’ve got your life slightly more together. And honestly, these frozen cubes from Borough Broth have been such a welcome addition to my kitchen.

I’ve loved Borough Broth for a while now. The flavour is always rich and comforting, and it genuinely feels good for you. But living on my own, I’ll be honest, opening a full pouch sometimes felt like a bit much. You either commit to using it all or risk forgetting about it. These cubes completely fix that. You just pop one out, use what you need, and the rest stays perfectly tucked away. It’s simple, but it makes a big difference.
What I really enjoy is how easily they slip into everyday cooking. I’ve been adding the chicken and beef bone broth cubes into stews and sauces, and it just gives everything that slow-cooked, deeply savoury base without actually spending hours cooking. It’s that kind of quiet upgrade where you take a bite and think, " Oh, this is good… what did I do differently?”
I’ve also started having a cup in the morning, just stirred into hot water. It feels like a small, easy ritual that’s actually doing something good. Bone broth has been talked about for years for its collagen and gut health benefits, and while I’m not one for overcomplicating wellness, this feels like a very manageable way to get a bit more goodness into the day.
They’re also more versatile than you might think. Yes, they’re brilliant in stews and gravies, but I’ve seen them used in everything from baked beans to a really clever roast lamb gravy with anchovy and Dijon. It’s the kind of ingredient that just adds depth without taking over, which I always appreciate.

And what I love, as always with Borough Broth, is how clean it all is. No unnecessary extras, no heavy saltiness like you get with some stock cubes. Just proper, slow-cooked broth that’s been reduced down and frozen. It feels thoughtful, and you can taste that.
For me, this is one of those small kitchen upgrades that just make cooking feel a bit easier and more enjoyable. Nothing flashy, just really good quality done well.
If you already love bone broth, this is a no-brainer. And if you’ve been meaning to get into it but didn’t quite know how to fit it into your routine, this is a very easy place to.
