There’s something rather special opening in Primrose Hill this May, and it’s about much more than just great food.

130 Primrose will open its doors on 8th May, bringing a fresh, purpose-led approach to London dining. Led by celebrated chef Monica Galetti as Executive Chef, the restaurant has been created to recruit, train and employ people affected by homelessness.

Set on Regent’s Park Road, the 50-cover space will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in a relaxed, brasserie-style setting. The menu will lean into Mediterranean influences, with future touches of Monica’s Samoan heritage woven in. It feels like a lovely way to bring something personal and distinctive to the table.

What we love here is that the experience goes far beyond the plate. 130 Primrose offers employees paid work, accredited training and clear progression within hospitality. Working alongside Head Chef Eric Zhang, the team will gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional kitchen environment.

This new opening builds on the success of its previous venture, Home Kitchen Diner, which supported individuals from a range of challenging backgrounds into long-term hospitality roles. Now, with charity status secured, 130 Primrose is set to expand that impact even further.

The restaurant’s name, inspired by prima rosa, meaning first rose, feels fitting. It’s a space rooted in new beginnings, confidence and opportunity.

From thoughtfully sourced ingredients to a mission that genuinely gives back, 130 Primrose feels like a meaningful addition to London’s dining scene. One to have firmly on your radar this spring.
