This autumn, Arthur’s Market – a new premium grocery store, fishmonger, butcher, and eclectic dining destination – will open on the King’s Road, set to become one of West London’s most exciting food destinations.

By day, Arthur’s Market will be a treasure trove of premium produce: artisanal cheeses, seasonal fruit and vegetables, indulgent dairy, rare Japanese delicacies, and a fish counter unlike any other in West London. Shoppers can expect everything from whole Spanish tuna and carabineros to Cornish day-boat fish and imported Japanese sea urchin, alongside expertly sourced meats at the butcher’s counter.

But Arthur’s Market is more than a place to shop. The space will also feature two unique counter-dining concepts:

  • ASA Izakaya – a sleek sushi and hand roll bar, led by Chef Shaulan Steenson (Endo at the Rotunda, Hakkoku, Sushi Jin). By day, ASA offers 12 counter seats for meticulously crafted nigiri and hand rolls. By night, the blinds roll down and ASA transforms into an intimate 30-seat izakaya, serving intricate Japanese dishes and an extensive caviar and sake menu, with highlights including Dassai Beyond and Juyondai.

  • Salvador – a wood-fired pintxos-style tapas bar with 25 counter seats. Expect bold European flavours such as Beef Tartare with barrel-aged soy and bone marrow, Pork Presa with nduja bean stew, and daily specials showcasing rare meats and seafood direct from the market.

In the evening, the entire market transforms into a destination dining space, with both counters drawing on the day’s produce to create fresh, ingredient-led menus.

Arthur’s Market also links back to its Belgravia sibling, The Prince Arthur, with a signature own-label wine available alongside a curated global wine list.

Blending market culture with destination dining, Arthur’s Market promises to be a celebration of premium ingredients, craftsmanship, and convivial dining – equally suited to a quick coffee, a weekly shop, or a long, indulgent dinner.
