With over 15 years’ experience in celebrated high-end kitchens across Delhi, New York, and London, Singh has crafted a dining destination where street-market vibrancy meets fine-dining finesse. Cho Asia’s menu stretches across borders, with dishes that celebrate both authenticity and innovation.

Starters and small plates include a delicate sweet and sour tuna tartare; punchy bang bang cauliflower with sriracha mayo; and chilli hoisin duck served with pancakes. Fluffy bao buns come with wild mushrooms and chestnuts; panko-crusted fish with coriander tartare; crispy chicken with sriracha mayo and chilli garlic duck with pickled cucumber.

Indian influences shine in dishes such as the slow-braised beef short rib korma, the Kolkata-style lamb shank, and the paneer baked in cherry tomato butter sauce. Chinese flavours are equally at home, with favourites including lamb and wild mushrooms with oyster sauce; wok-tossed prawns with sambal xo; and garlic pepper mushroom with pak choi. Desserts span from a rich sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream to a gently spiced coconut jaggery rice pudding, nodding to both British comfort and Asian heritage.

The wine list is a particular passion of Chef Singh’s. Spanning classic regions and emerging terroirs, it has been curated to complement the variety of flavours across the menu, from delicate, spice-driven dishes to robust, richly sauced plates. Old World elegance sits alongside New World vibrancy, offering guests the chance to explore pairings that surprise as much as they satisfy. The drinks menu also features cocktails inspired by Asia’s ingredients and spice routes, alongside refined alcohol-free options.

Situated on Lower Richmond Road in Putney, Cho Asia brings a sense of travel and theatre to a cosy West London neighbourhood. The space is designed to transport, evoking the bustle of a Bangkok street-food stall or the intimacy of a Tokyo izakaya, all while rooted in the warmth and charm of a local dining room. The name Cho, meaning “to choose,” reflects the philosophy that guests can chart their own journey through Asia’s culinary traditions, guided by Singh’s vision.

Parminder Singh is the creative force behind Cho Asia. His career began at Delhi’s prestigious Oberoi Hotels and took him to kitchens ranked among the World’s 50 Best, before he established himself in London as opening Head Chef of highly acclaimed Indian Accent, Mayfair. He has cooked for royalty at Buckingham Palace, catered to some of the world’s most discerning families, and appeared on television programmes including The Chef (Sony) and MasterChef: The Professionals 2022. At Cho Asia, Singh distills his global experience into a menu that is rooted in authenticity, crafted with precision, and designed to connect people through food.
