Put the kettle on and grab your diary. This month's hot restaurant openings round-up is a bumper issue. Leave the Ozempic at home, you'll want to be hungry this June.
Noisy Oyster

We’re loving the name of this soon to arrive restaurant, opening in Nicholls Clarke Yard, Spitalfields London, E1. The makers of Firebird in Soho, Madina Kazhimova and Anna Dolgushina are setting out to launch a modern seafood bistro, billing it as ‘stylish, upbeat and a little rowdy’. We’re in! The fish-focused menu will draw influence from key coastal regions in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France while showcasing the best of the UK’s seafood. Chef Alfie Bahnan (ex-Trullo, Paradise, Lagare) will head up the kitchen. Expect freshly shucked oysters, dry-aged tuna steak with pink peppercorn sauce & trout roe, pressed skate schnitzel with mixed peach panzanella, and delicious sounding pasta dishes. Jumping on the trend, mini martinis will be aplenty.
Opens 20 June

Barbarella

Big Mamma Group opens Barbarella in Canary Wharf this June. Housed in a water-side condo and featuring a waterside terrace for soaking up the sunshine, the look has been inspired by the golden age of Roman cinema in the 70s. The kitchen will be led by Roma-born Marco Rastelli, serving up extra-thin, extra-wide Ruota di Carretto pizzas; caramelised Italian tomato tatin with Parmigiano cream, Cornish lemon sole to share, filleted table-side, and grilled steaks - from delicate fillets to a vast 1.2kg T-bone. Plus check out Big Mamma’s biggest-ever cocktail menu for twists on classics like a new pistachio espresso martini - and the group’s most extensive wine list yet. Yikes, come with your credit card.
