Nature’s Choice launches fresh produce boxes following lockdown success

The team behind the crème de la crème of the UK’s fresh produce, which typically appears on diners plates at all three of London’s three-star Michelin restaurants (The Lecture Room & Library at sketch in Mayfair, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea) has launched a brand new delivery box service. Nature’s Choice are on a mission to make restaurant-quality fruit and vegetables available to home cooks for the first time.

Nature's Choice Produce Box

The family-run business, which is based at Vauxhall’s New Covent Garden Market, supplies some of the country’s most notable events from Ascot and Wimbledon Tennis to The Olympics. Back in March during the UK’s lockdown, Nature’s Choice - which typically only supplies the hospitality industry - was fast to innovate and update their business model, launching fruit and veg boxes available to Londoners. Following the phenomenal response they had from customers, the company has newly expanded the service, meaning food lovers can now get their hands on fruit and veg from the same secret source as top chefs.

Each box has a seasonal element and there are five different options to choose from, all available to order online at www.natureschoice.shop.

The Seasonal Summer Box, £42: Filled with the very best British seasonal fruits and veg, the Seasonal Summer Box features favourites such as Jersey Royal potatoes, sweetcorn husks, strawberries and blueberries, as well as Royal Jewel tomatoes and sustainably sourced avocados.

The Salad Box, £29: Everything needed to create fresh summer salads packed full of flavour, the Salad Box includes 23 different fruits and veg, including exclusive Eric Wall Sussex-grown tomatoes, fennel, beetroot and micro pea shoots.

The Vegetable Box, £29: Add variation to your five-a-day with the Vegetable Box, it includes healthy greens like cavolo nero, pak choi and spring greens, as well as padron peppers and sweet potatoes to add a little colour to the plate.

Medium Fruit & Veg Box, £38: All the classics in one box, the Medium Fruit & Veg Box features colourful peppers, baking potatoes, carrots, Tenderstem broccoli and British berries - perfect for feeding a family throughout the week.

Small Fruit & Veg Box, £25: Smaller households can get their fruit and veg fix with the Small Box. Picked fresh to order, expect a mix of salad essentials, roast dinner necessities and sweet fruits to last the week.

Having been based at London’s New Covent Garden Market since 1997, Nature’s Choice is unique in the way it works closely with growers and farmers to deliver consistent innovation and is dedicated to sourcing only the finest and most sustainably grown produce. The new home delivery service provides the chance for households to experience the country’s best produce and support British farmers at the same time.

Speaking of the expansion, Nature's Choice managing director Martin Dykes commented: “In the first two weeks of lockdown, we delivered over 9,000 boxes and our customers couldn’t believe the quality of the fruit and veg. People just don’t realise what they can get if they look outside the supermarket, and how long-lasting farm-fresh produce can be! It’s been fantastic to hear the positive feedback and made us realise we needed to expand and share our fresh produce with more homes.’

Fruit and veg box delivery services have thrived during the global pandemic but few offer the same quality and taste that Nature’s Choice can guarantee with every box. With restaurant quality meals more easily accessible at home than ever before, the only question is which box to choose first!
