Review: Byron's Pickle Beer

Pickle Beer?! Byron’s newest drink has arrived and I’m hoping it stays!

Byron burger located in Covent Garden was buzzing with life and excitement, I couldn’t wait to try the controversial beer. Once seated I ordered my Pickle Beer straight away, followed by the Byron Burger, sweet potato fries and a side of chicken wings.

I was a little apprehensive to try the beer; even though I’m a pickle fan, pickle beer still seemed unusual. Boy was I wrong - this beer was delicious! It reminded me of an IPA, very light with a subtle dill flavour. Sweet, crisp and delicious! The perfect accompaniment for a juicy burger.

My Byron burger was very tasty indeed, cooked to perfection, pink and juicy, topped with smokey bacon and American cheese, all sandwiched in a sweet bun.

The sides were just as delicious, the sweet potato fries were thin and crispy, not at all soggy and incredibly moreish. The buffalo chicken wings had a lovely hint of spice and a blue cheese dipping sauce.

Finally I had to try the salted caramel brownie, stupidly I shared this with my partner. Big regret. Get one whole to yourself - it’s incredible. Very chocolatey and the salted caramel was perfection. Do it.

So much fun at Byron, my only question is - can I buy a crate? Cheers!
