If you're heading to the flower show this year, or maybe just admiring the beautifully-decorated shops and businesses for Chelsea in Bloom, here are some foodie experiences in and around London to keep your theme fully floral.

Kahani, Sloane Square

Tucked just off Sloane Square behind Cadogan Hall, Kahani is the modern Indian restaurant from acclaimed Chef Patron Peter Joseph, formerly Head Chef at the Michelin-starred Tamarind of Mayfair. The below street level restaurant has luxurious interiors, warm hospitality, and refined Indian dishes crafted using the finest seasonal British produce.

Throughout the week of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Kahani will be serving a special Chelsea Flower Show cocktail menu inspired by the colours, botanicals and fragrances of the season. This year’s line-up includes the Rose Martini, Phool Martini and Floralini, alongside floral-inspired mocktails including the Bageecha Sour and Sloane Cup Lemonade. The cocktails will be available throughout the week for all guests to enjoy, while those showing a valid RHS / Chelsea Flower Show ticket will receive one complimentary cocktail from the Chelsea Flower Show selection with their meal.

The Trafalgar, King’s Road Chelsea

The Trafalgar will honour this year’s Chelsea Flower Show intergalactic theme by showcasing an out-of-this-world multi-textile floral display as well as featuring a celestial cocktail list and glittering three-course menu for £43.00, with an optional wine pairing for an additional £24.00 for three glasses. In a pricy part of town, this is a great-value option for resting weary legs and enjoying a suitably spring-inspired menu.

For Chelsea in Bloom, The Trafalgar have teamed up with renowned florist, McQueens, to create an incredible multi-textile and fynbos flower installation adorning their King's Road entrance. A mix of varieties will be used, including King Proteas and Blushing Brides in honour of the pub’s location opposite the Chelsea Town Hall, well known for its weddings. Better yet, there will be a moon garden featuring flowers that only bloom at night, accentuating the importance and beauty of our night sky and the stars within it.

The new cocktail list will include creations such as a Polaris Sour with ABA pisco, lime juice, demerara sugar and egg white, or a Starlight Spritz with proseccoSt Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon, mint, and soda water. The stellar new seasonal menu will feature delicate dishes such as gin-cured chalk stream trout with pickled cucumber or English asparagus with broad bean purée and toasted Kentish cobnuts to start. For the main course, try roast hake with samphire, Jersey Royals and Henners’ English Sparkling beurre blanc or wild garlic and morel risotto with pea shoots and olive oil. For dessert, perhaps treat yourself to a twinkling pink fizz, blueberry and viola jelly or an elderflower posset with strawberries and shortbread.
