Maldon Salt have recently launched their exciting new Merchants Range with Himalayan Pink Salt and Kalahari Desert Salt. To celebrate this, they teamed up with Michelin-starred chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen and Counter Talk’s Rav Gill for an exclusive showcase of the new salts.
We are all used to adding salt to season our food - but have you ever tasted it? Maldon salts have different flavour characteristics that lend themselves to matching with different ingredients and flavour profiles.
I know this was all about the new Merchant range of international salts, but can I just give a quick shout out to their smoked salt - for me, an absolute kitchen staple for both savoury and sweet dishes. The Kalahari salt is going to be another one I think, with the same flexibility.
The new salts are available at selected supermarkets and Amazon; click here for details.
